How To Store And Reheat These Leftovers
You will want to store your leftovers in an airtight container in your fridge. They will last up to three days. I recommend if you arent going to consume all of this shrimp carbonara recipe in one sitting, I recommend storing the pasta and the sauce in separate containers. When you store the sauce and the pasta separately so the pasta does not soak up the sauce.
When you reheat this dish, I recommend reheating the sauce in a small saucepan on the stovetop. Heat the sauce gently and slowly, you may want to add a bit more cream to this sauce.
How To Store Leftovers
You can keep any extra marinara sauce in the fridge or the freezer, but the key is to store it properly.

This is a tricky one because the sauce will get thicker when the pasta cools down.
Store it in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the fridge. I wouldnt recommend freezing it.
When reheating, add a bit of chicken stock or water to it before putting it in the microwave oven for a couple of minutes.

Great food from start to finish. Best raspberry lemonade. The appetizers were good and fresh. We shared the sampler of fried ravioli a combination of beef and pork, stuffed mushrooms and fried calamari. The bread sticks were tasty and I never eat them. Our server Kia was a little robotic at first after a while she warmed up. The wait was short for a party of 2. The Zuppa Toscana soup was nice it warmed my bones the AC was cranked up. It reminded me of the wedding soup. My friends entree was the Parmesan Crusted Bistecca. It was really good and the steak was prepared well and still moist. My dish was the chicken and shrimpcarbonara. It was delicious nice and cheesy, shrimp and chicken grilled just right the sauce and pastas were perfectly seasoned and blended well. I will definitely return.

How Can You Customize This Copycat Olive Garden Chicken And Shrimp Carbonara
The best part of making copycat restaurant recipes at home is you can modify the dish to suit your tastes, time and budget. This Olive Garden chicken and shrimp carbonara is no different. Here are some of our favorite ways to put a twist on this recipe:
Change the Protein
Skip the fried breaded chicken and instead opt for sliced grilled chicken breasts or even pieces of cooked rotisserie chicken. If you dont enjoy shrimp, you can swap them for scallops or omit them entirely and go for extra chicken.
Extra Veggies
Load up this easy copycat Olive Garden recipe with color, texture and nutrition with an array of other vegetables. Sauteed bell peppers or mushrooms would be lovely additions. Steamed broccoli or grilled zucchini, like in this summer carbonara, are other tasty options to consider.
Different Pasta
Long spaghetti or bucatini is traditional, but if Olive Garden has taught us anything, its that its okay to deviate from the classic. Smaller kid-friendly shapes like rotini, penne or farfalle are great for tiny hands. Fettuccine and linguine are other long-cut pasta varieties that would also work well in this recipe.
Serve Olive Garden Chicken And Shrimp Carbonara With Spaghetti

When serving, place the hot, cooked spaghetti on a relatively large serving platter. Top it with the chicken and shrimp in carbonara sauce. Spoon the sauce generously over the chicken breasts, then top it with reserved bacon bits, additional grated parmesan cheese and parsley, and serve. Alternatively, you can also add the pasta directly to the pan and mix everything together there for a slightly more rustic presentation.
Each serving should have a nice mound of spaghetti, a breaded and fried chicken breast, a few pieces of juicy shrimp, browned bacon bits and plenty of rich, gooey sauce. Leftover chicken and shrimp carbonara will keep in a sealed container in the fridge for 4 days.

Bread And Fry The Chicken
Once the chicken has finished marinating, bread and cook the boneless skinless chicken breasts. First, in a large plate or shallow bowl, combine flour, bread crumbs, salt, and ½ teaspoon black pepper. Whisk this dry mixture until it is well blended. In another bowl, whisk 2 eggs until the yolks are incorporated with the whites. Dip the chicken breasts in the breading mixture first, then the egg, and then back into the breading. Lay the fully breaded pieces out on a rack to dry a bit before cooking.
Preheat a large Dutch oven or pan to medium heat. Add four tablespoons of oil, then add chicken breasts to the pan and saute for 7 minutes per side. Remove the chicken pieces from the pan and return them to the baking sheet, setting them aside. You may have to fry in batches, depending on the size of your pan. When you are done cooking, be sure to check the doneness level of your chicken for safetys sake. Cooked chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165 F, ideally measured with a meat thermometer placed in the middle of the thickest part of the chicken breast.
How Should You Store Copycat Olive Garden Chicken And Shrimp Carbonara
If you know you wont consume all of this recipe in one sitting, we recommend storing the pasta sauce separately from the pasta. Use airtight containers for the various components and store them in the fridge for up to 3 days.
To reheat, slowly heat the sauce on the stovetop over medium-low heat, adding a bit of extra milk until the sauce is steaming. Toss with reheated pasta that youve warmed separately and serve.
Editors Tip: Low and slow is best for dairy-based pasta sauces since they tend to curdle and separate when heated quickly or in the microwave. For this reason, we also dont recommend freezing this recipe since it can cause the sauce to separate.

How To Make Chicken And Shrimp Carbonara
Once you see how easy it is to make this dish, you’ll be whipping it up all the time.
It doesn’t take too much time or effort, so it’s really great for any occasion. And this recipe makes about 2 servings, so if you want more, just double, triple, or quadruple the recipe.
Now let’s get cooking!
Step 1: Prep the ingredients
Since it all comes together quickly, it’s best to prepare the ingredients before you start cooking.
First, chop the garlic and onions and cut the chicken and bacon into cubes. Then, peel and devein the shrimp, and you can keep the tail on or remove it.
Finally, cook the pasta of your choice according to the package directions. Set a timer for the pasta and make sure to drain the noodles when they’re done.
Step 2: Cook the meat
While the pasta is cooking, you can cook the meat. First, add the bacon to a heated pan, and let it cook until golden brown and crispy. Once it is, remove it and set it aside.
Next, add the chicken breast and shrimp to the skillet. Sauté until the chicken has browned and is cooked through – the internal temp should be 165°F – and the shrimp turns pink. Then, remove both and set them aside.
