Ocean City Md Seafood Buffet
Hello- My husband and I are going to Ocean City, Md next week for the first time. A lot of our friends have been there, and everyone has a different favorite seafood buffet. We both love crab legs so that is a must. So what is the best one?
The Penn State dude will recommend Phillips.
Please, DON’T DO IT! For God’s sake, you’re on VACATION, treat yourself special and order a memorable dinner from a memorable restaurant!
I’ll throw out two…
Many people enjoy the buffets. I personally don’t like Phillips. I used to enjoy the Bonfire, but because of extreme increases in the cost of crab legs, they no longer let you have unlimited crab. They serve you two clusters at a time.
We went to Embers in May and it was very good. Also, the Clarion on 101st St has a very good buffet and great oceanfront views.
You can expect to pay about $30 a person for buffet, but check the signs at each restaurant. Many of them have early bird specials that will discount the buffet a few dollars.
If you and hubby would like to enjoy an excellent meal while in OC, head to the Courtyard Marriott on 15th St. They have a restaurant there called the Captain’s Table. You won’t find better food in OC.
Embers or Phillips are by far the best seafood bufftets in OC. Phillips gets a slight edge because they have hard shell crabs on their buffet. Both are about $30 a person .
A buffet, you get more seafood to choose from than a tradional restaurant and some fokes like a tradional restaurant and that’s okay.

Former Phillips Crab House In Ocean City To Become New Seafood Restaurant
OCEAN CITY, Md. A new owner is taking over the shuttered, original Phillips Crab House in Ocean City.
The Phillips family sold the Philadelphia Avenue location last year, after more than 65 years in business – but now it’s coming back as a new seafood restaurant.
An owner of the Ocean City restaurant Fast Eddie’s posted on Facebook today that the Phillips location will now become Union Chesapeake Seafood House.
The new owner wrote: “Union Chesapeake Seafood House will not veer far from Bryce and Shirleys legendary concept. The upstairs will feature an All You Can Eat Seafood, Prime Rib & Blue Crab Buffet! The downstairs will be a full-service restaurant/crab house specializing in the finest Seafood that Maryland has to offer. Once again, it’s truly an honor and a blessing to be a part of keeping this building standing in Ocean City. We love this town we love this business! Union Chesapeake Seafood House, coming soon!”
The Facebook post that the restaurant is now hiring and employee housing is available.
